BINGHAMTON, NY – The American Hockey League announced today that Don Biggs (Binghamton Rangers, 1991-1993) will be one of four people selected for induction into the AHL Hall of Fame as the Class of 2018.
Biggs, 52, appeared in 152 games for the Binghamton Rangers from 1991-1993 and recorded 86 goals and 134 assists for 220 points, along with a plus/minues rating of +57. In 25 playoff games for Binghamton, Biggs had 22 points (6 goals, 16 assists).
Biggs’ 138 points in the 1992-93 season is the highest total in the history of the AHL and Binghamton’s 57-13-10 record that season is the best regular-season record ever in the league. That season, Biggs was the winner of the Les Cunningham Award as the league’s most valuable player.
The Class of 2018 will be honored at the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Turning Stone Resort Casino, hosted by the Utica Comets. The event is scheduled for January 29, 2018, at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, N.Y.
