BINGHAMTON, NY – The Binghamton Devils, Southern Tier Hockey Association, Ice House Hawks and Binghamton Blizzard will present the 2019 Binghamton Devils Charity Golf Tournament benefitting youth hockey players in the Southern Tier.

The tournament will be held on Monday, Oct. 7, following the team’s home opener on Oct. 5 against the Utica Comets. Taking place at Traditions at the Glen, 4101 Watson Blvd, Johnson City, NY, the tournament will feature a captain and crew format offering each team the opportunity to golf with a member of this year’s Binghamton Devils hockey team.

“The Binghamton Devils are pleased to have the opportunity to support local youth hockey. Many Devils fans grew up playing and supporting the STHA, Ice House Hawks, Blizzard and other local youth hockey leagues and are now parents of the kids playing,” Executive Vice President of Operations for the Binghamton Devils Tom Mitchell said. “Giving back to the community and growing the game of hockey is our goal and supporting these organizations in the Southern Tier is part of that.”

Registration and lunch at the golf course., courtesy of Nezuntoz Café, will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. Participants will be able to enter various competitions held in conjunction with the tournament for prizes, including a hole-in-one, longest drive, five hole, and speed hole challenge. Following the tournament, there will be an awards ceremony and recognition dinner.
