BINGHAMTON, NY – The Binghamton Devils will host Hockey Fights Cancer Night tomorrow, Nov. 2 when the Devils take on the Lehigh Valley Phantoms at 7:05 p.m.
The Devils will wear special Hockey Fights Cancer themed jerseys that are lavender in color. These special sweaters bare three stripes that represent the three most common cancers in the United States: white for lung cancer, pink for breast cancer and blue for prostate cancer. Following the game, the jerseys will be auctioned off, with funds benefiting the American Cancer Society.
During the second period, the Devils will hold a moment of silence, and fans will be asked to hold up “I Fight For” cards to bring awareness to friends and families who have felt the impact of cancer. These cards are available for download and print HERE, and will be distributed throughout the concourse on Friday. During the first intermission, all those battling or who have battled cancer are encouraged to take a Survivors Lap around the ice.
Fans are encouraged to wear lavender to the game in support of the fight against cancer and may share their stories of who they fight for on social media by using the hashtag #HockeyFightsCancer. Discount tickets for #HockeyFightsCancer can be purchased HERE.
