BINGHAMTON, NY – The New Jersey Devils have won the NHL Draft Lottery and the first overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft, which will be held at United Center in Chicago, IL on June 23-24. 

The Devils had an 8.5 percent chance at winning the lottery and will choose first for the first time since moving to New Jersey in 1982-83. 

The Philadelphia Flyers won the second overall pick, moving up from number 13.

New Jersey won the 2011 NHL Draft Lottery where they selected defenseman Adam Larsson.
